C A P I T A L (Prison Ministry) Mission Statement: We are committed to reaching out to those in despair; casting out brokeness of poverty, crime and immorality in our communities. We are committed to the involvement of reaching in to those who are in need of repair: Providing assistance, training, and leadership for the whole of man; whereby benefiting individuals within and without to produce working capital. C ommunity -Includes people who are permanently relying on government assistance; or have been disadvantaged, impoverished, homeless, jobless; and/or helpless. A ssistance -Churches and Faith Based organizations; Government; Corporations; Businesses; and Professional providing voluntary assistance and financial assistance, as well as substance abuse deliverance (alcohol, drugs, rape, pregnancy) P rogram -Consist of a well defined plan of care based in faithfulness, discipline, knowledge, and perseverance; which are beneficial in maintaining a family, job, and finances. I nvolvement -All participants seeking assistance must be involved with the entire process. Those involved in the giving will not only give a ''hand out''...but a ''hands on''. Those involved in receiving will learn the ''hands on'' approach to life instead of the ''hand out'' approach to life. T raining -Educational: tutoring, mentoring, obtainig a GED, diploma or degree. -Job/career training and assistance: applications, resumes, and interviews -Financial advice: debt, budgeting, saving, and home buying A nd L eadership -Recipients will learn from leaders in the community: Pastors/Clergy; Teachers; Professionals; and Officials. Recipients will learn how to be leaders and lenders instead of followers and borrowers. |
